Terms & Conditions

By enrolling in an Ananta Hikes & Resort programme or submitting our enrollment form, the participant (or parent/legal guardian, where applicable) agrees to these terms. They apply to all group programmes, school edutours and adventure experiences.

1. Travel insurance

Every participant must be covered by travel insurance for the entire duration of the Edutour. For domestic Edutours, minimum coverage is INR 2,00,000 per participant. Insurance is arranged through a third-party insurer, and participation is contingent on acceptance of this coverage.

2. Rooming

Participants are accommodated with others of the same gender in triple- or quad-sharing rooms. Final assignments are made in consultation with the associated educational institution.

3. Food allergies and medical conditions

Parents or guardians must inform us of any relevant food allergies or medical conditions at the time of enrollment. We will make every effort to accommodate them, but given the limitations of remote locations, we cannot guarantee full accommodation of every request. Alternative arrangements will be discussed with parents or guardians in advance.

4. Cancellation charges

Time of cancellationCharge (of total programme cost)
60 days or more before departure10%
30 – 60 days before departure25%
15 – 30 days before departure50%

Charges levied by external service providers, such as airlines or railways, may apply separately.

5. Code of conduct

Participants must respect facilitators, fellow participants and local communities, and follow the Organizer’s instructions at all times. Disruptive, unsafe or inappropriate behaviour is not permitted. We may remove a participant from the Edutour or specific activities if non-compliance endangers the safety or experience of others. Such removal is treated as a no-show (100% of total cost).

6. Force majeure

Neither the Organizer nor the School is liable for delays, changes or cancellations caused by events beyond reasonable control, such as natural disasters, political unrest or government-imposed restrictions. In such cases we may postpone or reschedule the Edutour, modify the itinerary, offer alternative dates or programmes (subject to availability), or provide a partial or full refund depending on the circumstances and services already rendered. No other compensation or refund is due.

7. Release and agreement

  • Release of liability: the participant releases the Organizer, its directors, employees, programme partners and the associated educational institution from liability for personal injury, property damage or loss during the Edutour.
  • Itinerary changes: the itinerary is a guideline and may change due to weather, mechanical failure, flight cancellation or medical emergency. Resulting additional costs (meals, accommodation, transport) are not the Organizer’s responsibility unless caused by the Organizers’ oversight.
  • Medical treatment: we will make reasonable efforts to obtain consent in an emergency, and the participant authorises the Organizers to consent to necessary emergency medical treatment.
  • Participation at own risk: participants take part in all activities at their own risk and in accordance with the Organizer’s instructions. The Organizer is not responsible for injuries or damages, except in cases of proven negligence by the Organizers.
